Copper Cow Coffee
Founded by Debbie Wei Mullin, Copper Cow Coffee describes Vietnamese coffee in two ways: “Coffee made from beans grown in Vietnam and/or coffee served with sweetened condensed milk. Oh, and extremely addictive.”
Vietnamese pour-over coffee is traditionally brewed in a phin, a metal cup that fits over the mug. Copper Cow Coffee, however, sends their blend of 70% Robusta and 30% Arabica coffee in all-natural, biodegradable, and compostable individual cups.
Founded in 2018, the brand sells different flavored coffee, creamers, and teas.

Summersalt
Summersalt co-founders Lori Coulter and Reshma Chattaram Chamberlin had had enough of the over-sexualized, over-priced, and cheaply made swimwear that had taken over the market. They decided to take on the challenge of reinventing the industry with quality-made, luxurious, direct-to-consumer, and eco-friendly swimwear, activewear, and loungewear.
Their clothing line continues to grow and change as they challenge social norms. With affordable suits and a try-at-home approach, Summersalt features designer swimsuits for $95. Their suits are made for women to move, and to feel confident and comfortable, plus they’re so cute.
The reviews speak for themselves. “So not only is this beautiful swimsuit comfortable and aesthetically gorgeous but it is so flattering. I’ve never felt so comfortable in a swimsuit,” raves Gretchen B., who dubbed Summersalt’s best-selling Sidestroke swimsuit (pictured) the “unicorn of swimsuits.”
Good news for tall ladies—many of Summersalt’s one-piece swimsuits come in long torso!
Daily Harvest
Daily Harvest was founded by Rachel Drori after she, like a lot of working women, grabbed whatever she could find to sustain herself until she could sit down for a real meal. The choices we make when we are rushed, juggling too much, or drowning in work tend to not be the most nutritious.
Drori founded Daily Harvest to help others in her situation and to provide nutrient-dense, healthy, delicious, and convenient food.
There are three plans to choose from, with flexible delivery plans and free shipping.
The menu is broken down into smoothies, mylk (their answer to plant-based milk), harvest bowls, flatbreads, soups, oat bowls, chia bowls, scoops (plant-based ice cream!), bites, and lattes.
Reviewer Adrian said of Daily Harvest, “I’ve been eating frozen (vegan) food for years, and sometimes I go out to eat. Daily Harvest’s food is some of the best food I’ve had. Its meals are created with just the right combination of high-quality ingredients to create really great meals. Really glad I found them!”
Girlfriend Collective
With clothes made from sustainably sourced materials, manufactured ethically, and advertised with a sense of inclusiveness, Girlfriend Collective was founded by spouses Ellie and Quang Dinh.
The conscious clothing brand started with a pair of leggings made from recycled plastic bottles and ended up with cozy fleece jackets, activewear, scrunchies, maternity wear, and more. Clothing colors are beautiful and unique, the sizing is from XXS to 6XL, and even their packaging is 100% recycled and recyclable!
One reviewer raved about the Black High-Rise Pocket Legging, “These are my favorite pocket leggings ever! They fit extremely well and I love the location of the pocket. Need them in every color!”
Rent the Runway
While men have been able to rent formal attire for years, there wasn’t an equivalent for women until Jenn Hyman and Jenny Fleiss decided to take on the industry and make beautiful, designer dresses, accessories, and apparel available to the masses. Instead of buying an expensive dress to wear once to an event, the brand made designer dresses and clothing accessible to everyone.
Fast fashion it is not. The brand has changed over the years, (especially over the course of 2020) and has expanded to provide more styles of clothing. In addition to gowns and dresses for events and dates, Rent the Runway members can now choose from outdoorsy clothes as well as WFH and virtual meeting clothing.
Mejuri
Mejuri CEO and cofounder Noura Sakkijha set out “to create something that was exciting for women.” Ditching the boy meets girl, boy buys girl jewelry mentality, Mejuri wanted to make a brand that encouraged women to invest in fine jewelry for “our damn selves“.
The brand is also committed to helping those who are oppressed and under-represented. In 2020, Mejuri gave $120,000 to support scholarships for North American BIPOC women and non-binary people. Empowering under-represented women and non-binary people through the Mejuri Empowerment Fund is still a priority for the brand in 2021. As Sakkijha states, “To me, this fund is the living embodiment of the Mejuri mission.”
Mejuri is also eco-conscious and transparent in how and where they source their materials. Their gorgeous jewelry is great for stacking necklaces, rings, and bracelets.
BeautyCounter
The cosmetics industry is a little like the Wild West. Apparently, the FDA only bans 30 ingredients from health and beauty products. However, BeautyCounter founded by Gregg Renfrew bans 1800 unsafe ingredients. She started BeautyCounter and “set out to transform the beauty industry by creating clean, high-performing skin care and makeup—while fighting to change the laws that control what can and cannot be used in products so that everyone has access to safer beauty.”
BeautyCounter offers a range of products from serums, cleansers, and moisturizers, to masks, body washes, and scrubs, with so much more in between.
With 4.9 out of 5 stars and 2,334 reviews, the Countercontrol Clear Pore Cleanser is a must-have for just about anyone with a face. A recent review of the face wash stated, “I typically shy away from acne face washes because they either irritate my skin, dry me out or break me out more. But this face wash smells amazing, cleans my skin super well, and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry! Best of all…after 2 days I am already seeing my blemishes disappearing! I can’t even believe it. I will recommend this face wash to literally everyone I know! Thank you beauty counter!”
Sundays
Sundays was founded by Amy Lin, a Columbia graduate who spent a year with a chemist developing a new type of nail polish. According to the website, Sundays nail polish is made with a “non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free formula that still deliver high-shine, and long-lasting brilliant color, so you can look and feel fantastic.”
The nail industry is known for chemical hazards, but Amy Lin wanted to put the wellness of her clients and employees at the forefront and provide safe products and a toxic-free environment for all involved in the Sundays family. She is as involved with the company as ever stating, “Thank you for joining the sundays community and for your continued support. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about nail care. I’m more than happy to share anything I know and if not, we can learn together!”
MIELLE
Former labor and delivery nurse Monique Rodriguez took her knowledge and expertise working with women and her passion for hair care and founded MIELLE, a skin and hair care brand. She is passionate about safe and effective ingredients and educating women on how to take care of their hair. She tests all of the products herself and even on her friends and family to ensure quality and to test them on different hair textures. She engages with her customers on social media and makes customer service a priority.
While their hair products are formulated for those with type 3 and 4 curls, Rodriguez states that MIELLE products can be used on all hair types and that their mission is to, “Educate, empower, and excite all women.”
Reviewer Adreyana J. said, “This Rosemary mint oil is my new obsession! I need to seriously buy a year’s supply worth can’t go without it. It smells amazing leaving my scalp feeling moisturized and fresh. Love it!”
