A mother’s love knows no bounds. Often making sacrifices, one can always count on her devotion to the well-being of her children.
That’s why 31-year-old United Airlines Pilot Cole Doss went the extra mile to express his gratitude for his flight attendant mother, Moya Hagerty Doss, just before their first flight together in two years.
What everyone thought was going to be a normal announcement just before lift off actually turned into a tear-jerking and incredibly wholesome moment that left passengers cheering.
After informing the passengers flying from Virginia about the warm temperatures in Madrid, Doss then acknowledged how he has met “some of the most talented flight attendants” on this long-haul flight. With a brief pause, Doss then stated that one of them was not only “an exceptional flight attendant, but also an exceptional mom.”
After pausing to wait for the cheering to die down, Doss continued while his mother listened just a few feet away.
“Today’s the first time in two years [that] we’re able to work together,” Doss shared with a huge grin on his face.
“She’s been one of my biggest supporters in life and career in becoming a pilot since my very first flight lesson,” Doss shared. After Doss added some additional heart felt words for the entire plane to hear, he adds a final touch by saying, “To my mom, I love you, and to everyone on board, welcome aboard our family-friendly skies.”
