Starbucks’s version is delicious, but if you want a cup of joe without having to trudge through the snow, you can make this simple recipe from the warmth of your own kitchen.
Gingerbread Latte

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons strong coffee or espresso
- 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk (those with more fat yield more froth)
Supplies
- coffee or espresso machine
- small pot
- electric mixer or whisk
Directions
Brew your coffee according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Pour the hot coffee into your mug.
Stir in the syrup, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla.
In a small pot, heat the milk until it begins to bubble.
Using the electric mixer or whisk, stir until the milk becomes frothy.
Pour the milk froth onto the coffee.
Recipe Notes
If you are lactose intolerant, you can use almond, coconut, or soy milk instead of regular milk.
Decaffeinated coffee can be substituted for regular coffee.
Toppings
