In an additional large bowl, mix your flour, baking soda, and salt.
Add the flour mix to the butter mix and thoroughly combine; do not over mix.

Remove from the oven and let cool for several minutes before slicing and serving.
Additional Ingredients
Everyone’s banana bread recipe is a little different; each includes something special that speaks to their tastes. You can add a variety of ingredients that only serve to better your banana bread:
- Chocolate chips; when you’re mixing your dry ingredients together, stir in 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips as well.
- Sprinkle in some cinnamon or nutmeg with your dry ingredient mixture.
- Crushed nuts of your choice; walnuts work very well in a banana bread recipe. You can fold the nuts into the combined dry and wet ingredients.
A significant change to make comes in the form of sour cream. If you’re hoping for a hint of tart flavor, you can always add about five or six tablespoons of sour cream in with your eggs.
Looking for something sweeter? We’ve got you covered there, too. Layer your banana bread with Nutella or a chocolate spread! The recipe is quite simple and you’ll be able to bite into a gooey, chocolaty loaf.
This banana bread recipe can be altered to fit your tastes to a tee. Toss in some walnuts or sprinkle in some nutmeg to really shake things up!
