- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup Craisins
Supplies
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 13×9 inch rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray.
In a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat the melted butter and brown sugar on medium speed until well blended. Add the eggs, orange extract, vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Add the ground ginger, ground cinnamon, baking powder, salt, and flour. Mix until just blended. Don’t overmix the batter.
Pour in the white chocolate chips and Craisins and mix on stirring speed until well blended.
Using a silicone spatula, spread the batter into the bottom of the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove the bars from the oven and allow them to fully cool before frosting them.
Ingredients
- 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon orange extract
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Craisins, roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, melted
- 1 teaspoon shortening
Supplies
Directions
Beat the cream cheese on medium-high speed in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment until creamy.
Gradually add the powdered sugar and beat on medium-low speed. Mix until the sugar and cream cheese are combined, and smooth and creamy. Add orange extract and vanilla extract and mix well.
When the cranberry bars are cooled, top them with the cream cheese frosting. Roughly chop 1/2 cup of Craisins and sprinkle the frosted bars with them.
Next, place white chocolate chip and 1/2 teaspoon of shortening in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 15-30 second increments until smooth. Dip a fork into the melted chocolate and gently shake over the cranberry bliss bars to create a drizzled look. Slice the bars into triangles. Enjoy!
