Over the past few years, Nabisco has been experimenting with different Oreo flavors. While the traditional chocolate and vanilla creme Oreos are still a crowd favorite, we welcome different Oreo flavors with open arms. From s'mores, to peanut butter to peppermint, some of the new flavors are addicting, but some of them, on the other hand, are awful. Check out this list of the worst flavors of Oreos. Have you tried any of them?
11. Mega Stuffed
While Mega Stuffed may seem like a good idea at the store when you're insanely hungry, the over-the-top creme filling is just a little too much. Have you ever heard the saying "too much of a good thing is too much?" Well, that's the case with these Mega Stuffed Oreos.
10. Lemon
Sure lemon may be a little refreshing, but the Lemon Oreo is not remotely close to an original Oreo. The Lemon Oreo has lemon creme sandwiched between two golden cookies. It's closer to a Vanilla Wafer, but who are we to judge.
9. Pumpkin Spice
Oh pumpkin spice, every girl's favorite fall flavor. While we do love pumpkin just like every other girl, these Pumpkin Spice Oreos have too much pumpkin. Yes, we said it. The golden cookie is packed full of pumpkin creme that just offers way too much of the fall spirit. But let's be honest, we'll probably end up buying them next fall, anyway.
8. Red Velvet
Okay, okay if you're a red velvet lover, don't hate us for this one. Personally, we can't get enough of red velvet, but these Oreos were just red velvet mediocracy. They just taste like chocolate (yes, we know that's what red velvet really is.) And the cream cheese filling is a little too overpowering for the rest of the cookie. But hey, it's not the worst of the batch.
7. Mint Oreo Thins
The fact that the name of these Oreos contains the words "thin" and "mint" causes a serious problem. If you're going to name these slimmed down Oreos something similar to Thin Mints, they better taste just as good as Thin Mints, and unfortunately, they don't. Better just stick with the Girl Scouts to get your mint fix.
6. Reduced Fat
Reduced fat may sound all fine and dandy. Who doesn't like the sound of 30 percent less fat? But, let's be honest, if you're going to have an Oreo, just have an Oreo. Treat yourself to a full fat Oreo. You deserve it.
5. Cookie Dough
While the Cookie Dough Oreos taste pretty good, they're on the list because well, they don't taste anything like cookie dough. We love sneaking a scoop or two of cookie dough and these Oreos seriously disappoint. They taste more like a combination of caramel and coffee.
4. Birthday Cake With Chocolate Cookie
As birthday cake flavor enthusiasts, we thought this Oreo would be one of our favorites. The combination of the birthday cake creme with the chocolate cookie just doesn't mesh well together. If you're dying to get your hands on something birthday cake flavored, we suggest trying the Birthday Cake Oreo with the golden cookie.
3. Berry Burst Ice Cream
While Berry Burst Oreos may sound appealing to the fruit lover, the strawberry/raspberry Oreo doesn't satisfy the tastebuds. Oreos and fruit go together like eggs and pickles, meaning they don't. You're better off sticking with the classic chocolate and vanilla creme.
Cotton Candy
While some may love the sweet cotton candy flavor, in our opinion, it's way too sweet. But, then again, cotton candy itself is way too sweet. You may be able to take a trip down memory lane, but the Cotton Candy Oreos are definitely not one of our favorites.
1. Caramel Apple
Only a small group of people actually liked this Caramel Apple Oreo. It's like an artificial sour apple combined with a buttery cookie. Nice try Nabisco, better leave this Oreo flavor in the past.
