Best Healthy Snacks You Can Order Online
Enlightened Bada Bean Bada Boom Roasted Broad (Fava) Bean Snack
The sriracha flavor of Enlightened’s roasted broad beans are one of my absolute favorite snacks. They are high in plant-based protein (something I am becoming more and more interested in), and fiber so I actually feel full longer. They’re made from simple ingredients: just broad beans, sunflower oil, and seasoning, and are vegan, gluten-free, and Non-GMO project certified.
They are slightly reminiscent of corn nuts, but with great flavor and just the right amount of crunch. At just 100 calories per bag, they are a tasty and healthy replacement for chips. I love them not only as a stand-alone snack, but added to salads or as a topping on a veggie casserole.
SmartSweets Sweetfish
Ever since I was pregnant, I have cravings for chewy candy like licorice and gummy bears. I can sit down and eat a whole box of red licorice in one sitting– no problem! At least until the inevitable stomach ache sets in. That is until I discovered SmartSweets Sweetfish. These are the perfect feel good candy that really hits the spot. Sweetened with Stevia and free from sugar alcohols, a bag of these have only 3 grams of sugar, and 80 calories.
While these don’t taste exactly like Swedish Fish, the flavor is delicious. The texture reminds me of fruit snacks but without any aftertaste or stickiness on your teeth. These are a bit pricier than some other options, but in my opinion they are definitely worth it if you are craving candy, but don’t want to over indulge.
Zoneperfect Classic Protein Bars
ZonePerfect Nutrition Bars are some of the best tasting nutrition bars out there, while still being full of protein. One bar weighs in at 220 calories, has 14 grams of protein and tastes like a rich decadent desert, without the artificial sweetener taste that other protein bars can have.
Part of the reason these bars do taste so good, is that they have a higher sugar content than some other options on the market. However, these are still a better alternative than eating that box of Oreos or carton of ice cream. I love saving these as a sweet after dinner treat, or as an afternoon pick me up. They are a delicious way to get more protein in my diet, without sacrificing taste.
Another added bonus of the ZonePerfect Nutrition Bars is they deliver a good dose of the daily vitamins and minerals your body needs. You’ll get between 90 and 100 percent of the vitamin E you need each day, and a good amount of vitamin C, vitamin B-6, calcium, iron and folate– depending on the flavor. Some of these vitamins and minerals are also antioxidants, which are great for your immune system, skin and overall health.
HighKey Snacks Keto Food Low Carb Snack Cookies
Fomo no mo! HighKey snacks mini keto cookies are a diet-friendly snack made with natural ingredients like almond flour, coconut oil and collagen. This is a perfect and satisfying option for both ketogenic and low-carb dieters.
These taste just like a regular cookie, and even though they are about the size of a quarter– they are very satiating. I would compare them to Chips Ahoy minis, or McDonald’s boxed cookies (for anyone old enough to remember!) and they have a mild coconut undertone, which is quite tasty. I also like that they are gluten-free, grain-free, and made in the USA.
Thunderbird Real Food Energy Bars
I bought these somewhat randomly at the grocery store one week. The packaging advertised chocolate, raspberry and espresso, and I couldn’t pass it up. I love that these bars are made with simple ingredients– dates, almond, cashews, walnuts, cacao, freeze dried raspberries, coffee, vanilla, and himalayan sea salt.
Although the flavor is chocolate raspberry– these aren’t overly sweet, which I like. There are no artificial sweeteners or sugar added. They taste natural, are filling and I love them as a breakfast bar, or a midday snack. While I am far from being vegan, I do like to be conscious of the animal products I am consuming. I appreciate the fact that these are both vegan and paleo friendly.
Mission Meats Keto Sugar Free Grass-Fed Beef Snacks Sticks
I’ve never been a meat stick kind of gal. The thought of chomping on a gas station Slim Jim and tasting that little squirt of grease in my mouth is enough to make me gag. However, being a snack connoisseur, I decided to try Mission Meats Beef Jerky because they are made from natural ingredients, and are a great low-carb, high-protein snack option. I especially like that they are nitrate and nitrite free, the beef is grass-fed, and they contain no sugar.
Mission Meats Beef Jerky did not disappoint. The flavor is great, without the added heartburn that Slim Jim can give– and they aren’t mushy, which I absolutely can’t stand. They are a great option to get you through an afternoon slump or to help you power through a long day at your WFH office.
While I wasn’t a huge fan of the turkey option, my favorite flavors are the original or jalapeno beef. I love spicy food, but the jalapeno and habanero options are not overly spicy, and I would still recommend them to my non-spicy loving friends.
