Ingredients
- 8 ounces dry elbow macaroni
- 16 ounces cottage cheese
- 16 ounces sour cream
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2/3 cup Italian breadcrumbs

Directions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9-by-13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large pot, boil the elbow macaroni according to the instructions on the package. Drain the pasta and return it to the pot.
Add the cottage cheese, sour cream, salt, and pepper to the macaroni. Using a wooden spoon, stir the mixture until it is well blended.
Add the sharp cheddar and mozzarella to the pasta mixture. Mix until well combined.
Pour the macaroni mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out.
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and Italian breadcrumbs with a fork. Sprinkle the breadcrumb topping over the macaroni in the baking dish.
