You don’t have to be a chef to make delicious cheeseburger sliders. This recipe is quick and easy to follow. If you have an hour to spare, you can make your own juicy cheeseburger sliders.
What You’ll Need
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 diced onion
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 1 lb ground beef
- Kosher salt
- Ground pepper
- 1 /4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 12 slider buns
- 12 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- Baking dish
- Cooking spray
Directions
- First, prepare the sauteed onions, by heating a skillet with olive oil over medium heat. Cook onions until they are tender.
- Then, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl combine ground beef, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and garlic. Form them into 12 evenly sized patties.
- Heat skillet with olive oil over medium heat.
- Cook a few patties at a time, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Coat your baking dish with cooking spray. Place bottom half of buns in the dish.
- Place a slice of cheddar cheese over each slider.
- Top with the top half of the buns.
- Brush the melted butter on the top of the buns and sprinkle garlic powder and sesame seeds on top.
- Bake for about 10-15 minutes.
Veggie Sliders
Just because you’re vegetarian doesn’t mean you have to miss out on all the mouthwatering fun. Here is your vegetarian-friendly version for cheeseburger sliders.
What You’ll Need
- 1/ 4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- Kosher salt
- Ground pepper
- 1/ 4 tsp paprika
- 1 grated medium carrot
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 5 tbsp of butter
- 1 / 2 cup cooked spinach or kale (you may use frozen greens; however be sure to defrost and squeeze out all of the water)
- 12 Cheddar cheese slices
- 15-16 ounces of cooked garbanzo beans (also known as chickpeas) and black beans
- 3 tablespoons wheat flour
Directions
- First, heat a skillet with 1 teaspoon of olive oil and 1 tbsp of butter over medium heat. Add red onion and kosher salt. Sauté onion until it is tender.
- In a large bowl, begin mash beans with a fork, or you can use a food processor. Then add greens, grated carrots, sauteed onions, pepper, onion powder, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce to the mashed beans. Combine ingredients with a fork and add wheat flour.
- Form mixture into 12 patties.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat with a bit of olive oil. Cooking patties a few at a time, cook them for 3 minutes on each side.
- When they are done, spray your baking dish with cooking spray and place bottom half of buns in the dish. Then, place your cooked patties on top and top with cheese. Add the other half of the bun and brush the top with melted butter.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
