There are a few other ways you can make a whiskey sour and it all depends on what you’d like to have in your drink. Some recipes call for the inclusion of an egg white. For example, Jamie Oliver suggests adding 1/2 part egg white to your drink and if you do then you’ll just add it to the mixer along with the rest of the ingredients from step one. Other recipes call for a cherry and lemon slice garnish, while some say an orange slice is the best way to go.
Simple syrup can add to your drink and even though we like it best, not everyone may know how to make it. That’s okay! You’ll need to mix two cups of sugar into one cup of boiling water and stir constantly. When the sugar has dissolved, you can cool it and store it for up to one week!
However, if you don’t feel like making a simple syrup (or don’t have any on hand) then some recipes suggest adding a teaspoon of fine sugar.
There are lots of ways you can play around with this recipe, this is just the way we like it best!
