If you’re planning to throw a party anytime soon (or just impress someone with your great bartending skills) you can follow these steps to make your own White Russian cocktail.
Have a look below to see the ingredients you’ll need, how to make the drink, and alterations you can make to add twists and make it your own!
What You’ll Need
- 2 ounces of vodka
- 1 ounce of Kahlua liqueur
- Heavy cream
- Ice
Steps:
- Fill a glass with ice.
- Pour in vodka and Kalhua.
- Stir.
- Top with cream.
For a layered look to the White Russian, you can also pour cream over the back of a spoon before indulging. This method makes it easier to layer the cream throughout the drink as it’s not being poured directly into the glass, but rather just trickling in.
Alterations You Can Make
Even though Kalhua is the most traditional liqueur used, you can jazz it up with different brands. Varying recipes for the White Russian drink include swapping Kalhua for Firelit and New Deal. If you’re not interested in using heavy cream you can use half and half or light cream.
This simple cocktail is really simple to make and if you add a few alterations to it, there’s no doubt you’ll be making this with ease in no time.
