I’ve heard amazing things about Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay for years now. I have sensitive skin—like, so sensitive I’ve had to ice my face after using a mask—so I didn’t think I could try out the mask without immediately regretting it.
After hearing my skincare fanatic friends talk incessantly about it, I finally did some research. I stalked the Amazon product page for days, scouring reviews and before and after pictures.
Some reviewers have sensitive skin like I do and still love the mask, so I thought the 18,000 reviews and stellar 4.5 star rating couldn’t be for nothing.
I’ve been using the mask for a month now, and yep, the reviews are spot-on. My skin didn’t break out because of the mask which is my usual experience, and my skin feels as smooth as butter. After wasting money on expensive products that still mess with my skin, I can’t believe the mask is under $15 and actually works.

What Makes The Mask So Incredible
The mask is made with 100% calcium bentonite, and is free of additives, fragrances, and animal products. In addition to calcium, the mask is loaded with other minerals like iron, sodium, magnesium, and potassium, which all nourish your skin!
The mask has several purposes, but overall is known for deep pore cleansing, which in turn minimizes pores, facilitates healing for acne, lifts deeply buried toxins in the skin. The mask eliminates dirt and grime in your skin because of the minerals’ healing properties.
The result is smoother, softer skin, less acne, a more even skin tone, and radiant skin.
How To Use The Mask
Before concocting your mask, you’ll need apple cider vinegar and mask brushes. Once you have all the necessary ingredients, mix the powder with apple cider vinegar. If you don’t want to purchase apple cider vinegar, water works as well!
After mixing equal parts liquid and powder, use your new mask brush and apply evenly to your skin. People often use the mask for acne-prone areas, so if you want to apply the mask to areas with body acne, go for it!
If you have sensitive skin like I do, I suggest using it for about 5 minutes to avoid irritation and over-stimulating your face.
For normal skin, you can leave the mask on for 15 to 20 minutes. You know the mask is working because you’ll feel a pulsating and tightening sensation which feels incredible. It’s normal for skin to be a little red for a short period of time after—redness just means the mask did its job and dove deep!
What I Really Thought
I was anxious about irritation but my skin felt brand new after!
After a few uses, I noticed my pores shrinking in size and less redness on my cheeks. I can’t rave enough about how good my skin feels after—my face feels firm and happy.
The container reads “World’s Most Powerful Facial” for a reason! Below are three reviews of people who were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the mask as well!
“I’ve been using this mask for a little over a week now. Since I had pimples I used it EVERY night for about 20 minutes (or until I felt my face pulsate a little). This is the only thing that has ever worked for me. And I have tried EVERYTHING to fix my skin. My skin seemed to look even worse when I’d try to wash it and tone it. I tried cheap brand and expensive brands. And all in all, I probably spent hundreds of dollars on acne care. I was to the point where I gave up and decided to live with the acne. But this mask is like the holy grail of acne solutions. It doesn’t totally take away acne scars, but it takes away the pimples for sure. If you’re on the fence about this product BUY IT! This is my only ever review on Amazon because it actually does work if you’re consistent with it!”
WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO ORDER THIS!?
“I’ve contemplated purchasing this mask for over a year. I just received it a week ago and I’m so glad that I did decide to buy! First of all, I have very oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin. After going off birth control I went from pretty clear skin to blackheads, whiteheads, and clogged pores all over and cystic acne with scarring on my back, neck, and chin.
I decided to order this. I used a tablespoon of it mixed with a tablespoon of organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar. I didn’t have a fancy brush, I just used my fingers. It kind of bubbles up. I put it on my upper back where I break out. It says on the canister you will feel your face pulsate. They don’t lie! I let it sit for about 20-30 minutes. It is the tightest mask I’ve ever used. You can’t move!
I rinsed in the shower with a washcloth. It takes a while to get it all off. My skin was red, which is normal. It feels awesome! My upper back is the clearest it’s been in a long time already! My face is clearing up. It’s INCREDIBLE!”
“Listen, I’m not saying aliens had something to do with this product, but they did build the Aztec temples, and I’ve never seen a pic of an alien with a blemish.
This stuff is incredible. I have sensitive skin and stuff like this usually breaks me out, but this magic powde just made me red for a little bit, and left me feeling smooth like butter.
It did drag up more dirt than a girl with an internet connection with a grudge, but unlike Jessica who ruined my life for a brief period of time, this made me feel good about myself. I use it for spot treatments daily (fewer and further between as the days go by), and once a week I use it as an all over mask. And it’s a whole pound. 2 tablespoons lasted me 2 weeks. I’ll have to leave this tub to my kids in my will one day cause I’ll still have it. It feels really good when it dries and you move your face for the first time. It’s kind of like your face is the soft side of the velcro and the mask is the hook part and someone is pulling them apart slowly. Your face will be red for a little bit, but that goes away. Also, with apple cider vinegar, it stinks to high heaven. But it’s ohhhh so worth it.”
