Get your keesters on the Chipotle website or their app because the famed Mexican cuisine chain is welcoming free delivery from now until September 12. There are some catches though (nobody said life was gonna be easy).
Chipotle released a statement earlier this week celebrating the launch of their new partnership with DoorDash, which brings some significant benefits to our doorsteps. For the next two weeks, fans of the Tex-Mex food chain will be able to place orders through the Chipotle website or app and have it delivered to their homes. You also get free delivery if you order more than $10.00 worth of food.
“Fans have long been requesting Chipotle delivery, and as part of our commitment to make it easy for our customers to get the delicious food they love when, where and how they want it, we’re rolling out our own delivery service powered through DoorDash as the last mile delivery partner,” Curt Garner, chief digital and information officer at Chipotle, said in the statement. “We’re proud to be among the first fast-casual chains to offer this delivery service and are excited to kick it off with this special offer for our customers.”
DoorDash COO Christopher Payne is pretty stoked about the partnership too. “Our expanded partnership leverages our strong logistics platform, which enables Chipotle to further the brand’s commitment to make its delicious food available to their customers wherever and however they want it,” he said.
Additional rules you need to concern yourselves with are: gratuity not being included, the promotion only being available through participating locations, and not to place orders outside of normal hours. But really, is that going to stop you from slapping some guac on your favorite dishes and having them delivered right to your door? You’re living the dream. Take that, mom.
