The Best Meal Prep Containers
Enther 1-Compartment Meal Prep Containers (20 Pack)
If you are looking for an efficient way to prep and store multiple meals without dishing out a ton of moolah, the Enther 20-pack reusable containers are a fantastic option. The BPA plastic is durable, so you won’t need to worry about it cracking, even when using in either the microwave or freezer. We also love that it is stain and odor resistant, something that is a real problem with normal plastic tupperware.
The lightweight design is easy to stack, both in your fridge and in your pantry when not in use.
While there are use cases where having multiple compartments can come in handy, there are others where having a single compartment is ideal, and also allows for so much flexibility!
We will caution while secure, the lids are only leak resistant, not leak proof, so be sure to store upright while transfering.

- Microwave, freezer, and top rack dishwasher safe
- 100% BPA free
- Leak proof

Ez Prepa 3-Compartment Meal Prep Containers with Lids (15 Pack)
Ez Prepa containers are designed to be reusable as well as easily replaced if one breaks or is lost. They also make a great container to send leftovers home with guests after a big get together. Depending on use and care though, these containers can last a good while. The BPA-free plastic is of course microwave, freezer, and dishwasher safe, and also stain resistant, which is great if you’re a fan of dishes with red sauce!
We’re also a fan of how little space they take up while storing, which is great for those with already limited pantry space.
Like other plastic options, the lid is leak-resistant, so be sure to use a little extra care in transporting.

MCIRCO 2-Compartment Glass Meal Prep Containers (5 pack)
If you want your meal prep containers to last for a good while, investing in glass is a smart choice. In particular, borosilicate glass is made to adjust to temperature changes well, so no need to worry about these containers going from your freezer to your fridge the to microwave or even the oven. Plus, being dishwasher safe is always a desirable feature, though we do recommend hand washing the lids to ensure they will last longer.
Another plus of many glass food prep containers is the airtight lids with secure smart-lock flaps, so you can rest assured your food will last longer and stay safety contained during transport.
We also like that this option has 2 compartments, which is great when you want some separation of food but don’t have enough to warrant 3, as it’s always seems sad to have one empty compartment.
Key Features
- Premium borosilicate food-safe glass
- Oven, microwave, freezer, and dishwasher safe
- Smart locking lids
Specifications
- Brand: MCIRCO
- Dimensions: 8 x 6.5 x 3 inches
Bayco Glass Meal Prep Containers (8 pack)
The BAYCO food prep containers are a good size made from solid glass for long-lasting use. Like our other glass picks, these containers are dishwasher, microwave, and freezer safe, and are even oven safe up to 700?! While there is obviously not a need to expose these to such extreme heat, it is nice to know just how durable these glass containers are. The smart-lock lids provide a reliable seal, but it is highly recommended to hand wash them to prevent the silicone seal from fusing with the glass.
Besides the flexibility afforded with the large capacity single compartment, which can hold almost 4 cups, we also love that you get 8 containers in this set, making it quite an affordable option for glass.
Overall, we really can’t find much to complain about with these food prep containers, and think there are a great choice for any meal prepper.
Key Features
- Glass construction
- Oven, microwave, freezer, and dishwasher safe
- Snap lock lids

- Brand: BAYCO
- Dimensions: 7.6 x 5.2 x 2.7 inches
Meal Prep Containers Buying Guide
Our goal is to do away with all of the stress of meal prepping and let you get on with your life hassle free. To do so, it is important that you consider the different containers available for your use, and what sets each one apart. Materials, usability, and clean-ability should all be considered when making your decision on which containers to purchase.
Materials
Food containers come in one of two traditional materials: plastic or glass. Plastic is less expensive making it a more affordable option, to the point where losing one or two would barely be consequential. However, plastic is less durable, especially under intense heat, and generally should not be put through the dishwasher in order to ensure their longevity. Glass on the other hand is more durable and resilient making it safe for the dishwasher, as well as the oven, unlike plastic. It is also more expensive and harder to part with.
Usability
Determine the right size and structure for you and your home. Many meal prep advocates prefer to have their food separated, making containers with compartments a must, however, single compartment containers are also perfectly acceptable. Finding a product that is safe for the microwave and freezer is also important since you will want to make and freeze meals for later in the week and then reheat them. If the containers require you to thaw the food and then place on a plate to heat, you are losing precious time that could be avoided with the right containers.
Ease Of Cleaning
Make sure whatever choice you make is one that you will not need to spend too much time thinking about cleaning. Dishwasher safe products are useful and save you time. Either way, if the lids include a gasket, it is probably best to hand-wash even if the product says it will be safe, so factor cleanup time into you decision as well.
